Our Mission Strategies
Santa Cruz County Shining AZ collaborates with our communities to inspire them to embrace a litter-free lifestyle and preserve our High Sonoran Desert environment.
We combat littering by providing educational programs for children and adults and instilling new anti-litter mindsets and behaviors.
Our efforts accelerate the rehabilitation of the Santa Cruz River, from Nogales to Tubac, by conducting litter cleanups and partnering with local river groups.
We are working with the Arizona Department of Transportation and local governments to develop anti-littering programs along the I-19 from Amado to Nogales and our country roads.
